Every product we sell is brand new, and Moon Electronics is an authorized dealer for every brand we carry. That matters more than it sounds: a manufacturer warranty is only valid when the product was bought from an authorized dealer. Gear bought from marketplace resellers and grey-market sellers is routinely refused warranty service for exactly that reason.

Warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. Each brand runs its own repair and replacement program, and going straight to them is faster than routing a claim through us. Your receipt from Moon Electronics is your proof of authorized purchase — keep it, or ask us for a copy any time.

Coverage depends on the exact model

Two products that look almost identical often carry very different coverage. A RØDE M1 is covered for life; the M1-S, its switched sibling, is 10 years. A PodMic is 2 years; a PodMic USB is 5. So find your specific product below rather than assuming a figure for the brand.

RØDE

Every RØDE product starts with a 1-year warranty. Registering free at warranty.rode.com extends it to the period shown. Do it the day you get home — the extension is not applied automatically.

One year from date of purchase on portable speakers, headphones and home audio. Batteries and ear pads are treated as consumable parts and are not covered.

Pioneer DJ & AlphaTheta

One year standard. AlphaTheta Care extends cover to up to 3 years and adds worn jog wheels, knobs, switches, faders and chassis damage — but you must register within 6 months of purchase.

One year on professional audio. Registration is required within 30 days of purchase or the warranty does not apply — this is the tightest deadline of any brand we carry.

You do not have to hunt through a manufacturer’s website. Ask us for the written warranty for any product we sell — before or after you buy — and we will send you the full text at no charge.

Registration deadlines — these close permanently

• Yamaha — 30 days, or the warranty does not apply at all
• Pioneer DJ / AlphaTheta — 6 months for AlphaTheta Care
• RØDE — turns 1 year into 2, 5, 10 years or lifetime depending on model
• Electro-Voice — EVERSE speakers extend to 5 years

How to make a claim

1. Find your proof of purchase. Your Moon Electronics receipt or order confirmation. Lost it? Contact us and we will resend it.
2. Go to the manufacturer using the link for your brand above. Each runs its own claims process.
3. Stuck? Call us on (718) 777-5538. We cannot process the claim for you, but we can tell you who to speak to and confirm to the manufacturer that you bought from an authorized dealer.

What a warranty does not cover

Terms vary by brand — read yours — but manufacturer warranties generally exclude accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, unauthorized repair or modification, cosmetic wear, and consumable parts that deplete with normal use such as batteries and ear pads.

A warranty is also separate from our own returns policy. If something is faulty when it arrives, that is covered by our refund policy — contact us, not the manufacturer, and we will refund or replace it.
