Cables you need
- No cable to buy: the receiver plugs straight into the speaker, and music streams over Bluetooth.
How it connects, step by step
- Charge everything the night before. EV rates the EVERSE 8 at 12+ hours at 95 dB average, or 6+ hours of constant music at full output, and the EVERSE 12 at 12+ hours at 100 dB, or 6+ at maximum output. Gemini rates the mic at about 10 hours and the receiver at about 5.
- Plug the GMU-M100 receiver straight into INPUT 1. Push the INPUT 1 key and raise its level until the peaks sit just below maximum; if PK shows, turn it down.
- Pair your phone over Bluetooth for music. It plays on INPUT 3/4.
- Turn on the DUCKER for INPUT 1: while you talk, the music drops by 12 dB, then comes back. Set its threshold between -10 and -20 dB.
- EV rates the EVERSE 8 IP43, splash and light rain resistant, with its input cover closed, on battery and Bluetooth. With the receiver plugged in, EV calls for its rain cover, which we do not stock, so keep it out of the rain.
- EV rates the EVERSE 12 IP43, splash and light rain resistant, on battery power. With the receiver plugged in, keep it out of the rain.
- For a second voice, a wired mic goes into INPUT 2 with an XLR cable.
Every step is from the makers' own manuals and product pages, checked October 2026.
