Description
The YDM505S is a cardioid dynamic microphone for performers, with an on/off switch and a switch lock for solo gigs. Turning a screw 90 degrees locks the switch in the on position, so another performer cannot switch the mic off by accident during a show. An insulator made from proprietary materials reduces handling noise and vibration, and the metal body follows the curves of Yamaha's wind instruments, with a silver ring at the top of the grip.
